I’m not much of a plain-air painter, though I always carry a sketch book, pens and a small watercolour box when travelling. Setting up an easel with all the paraphernalia of paints, brushes, media, etc., doesn’t suit me – although I have done this from time to time. I do use a camera a lot – not to copy from, but to remind me of a scene or an event.
